Any form of animal meat is frowned upon by pescatarians. They stick to a diet of plants and seafood.

  3. Goat meat
  4. Chicken meat
  5. Turkey meat
  6. Goose meat, etc

Benefits of Pescatarian Diet

All dietary movements have their advantages and disadvantages. As such, the pescetarian diet has its advantages which are;

  1. Weight loss:
    Many pescatarian dieters are actually less overweight, than the general public.
  2. Omega 3:
    Omega 3 is not to improve heart health, pescatarians don’t need to buy omega 3 supplements since they get it naturally, from the seafood they consume.

Disadvantages of Pescatarian Diet

The pescatarian diet also has its disadvantages. Some of them are listed below:

  1. Expensive:
    Pescatarian diet is one of the most expensive diets to practice since the cost of seafood has risen sporadically.
    In its heyday, seafood were seen as the food of the poor, and so many poor people were forced to practice a pescatarian diet.
    Unfortunately, seafood have become too expensive today, and only people with deep pockets can successfully practice this diet.
