These days, everybody wants to know how to do stuff, like how to stay motivated when losing weight.

But nobody wants to know why they want to stay motivated. This is in fact, shallow, and simple minded thinking.

Because without knowing why you need to stay motivated, you will be asking vague questions, like how you can stay motivated in life. Simply because, you don’t know why you need to be motivated.

In simple terms, you lack a purpose in life, and are allover the place. Hence why you are surfing the internet, right now, wasting precious time, which should have been investing in building your dream, had you known your purpose in life.

That been said, sometimes, life just keeps giving you sour lemons, despite the fact that you know why you should be motivated.

After a while, you lose hope and get depressed, and lose focused, because of the nasty road, you have been through.

Don’t worry, in this post, I show you how you can stay motivated when losing weight, and achieve whatever dream and goals, you have set out to achieve this year.

After all, if I don’t help you stay motivated, who will?

Secret to Staying motivated

Unlike most people, I don’t find it hard to stay motivated after discovering the secret to getting there.

My little staying motivation, secret is simple and it is a video.

Actually, it is a remix of the famous, Shia Lebouf, Just do it, motivational speech.

When it first came out, it was a funny, meme. But after the tumultuous fate life chose for me. I have no choice but to follow suit in this path.

How to Stay Motivated when losing weight Tips

#1. Stop Overthinking

A lot of people struggle through life, thinking this is not their life yet, thinking things will get better.

This is hope, and although this can be a good thing, it isn’t necessarily a good thing, since a lot of people overlook the things happening over their noses.

Twenties, give ways, to thirties, thirties give way to forties, and forties to fifties, and before they even realize what has happened, they are now old, weak spent, and can’t recount a single enjoyable moment in life, simply because they refused to enjoy the present moments, and kept overthinking.

This is the same with losing weight. When trying to achieve, your dream body weight, you shouldn’t fall for the simple mistake of overthinking things.

Everything about weight loss falls into four steps:

  1. Eat
  2. Workout
  3. Sleep
  4. Repeat, till desired body is achieved.

These four steps are so simple, yet hard to master, simply because people overthink things.

They want the perfect food, they want the perfect gym, etc. Yet they forget the simple fact, that life can never be perfect, since it is dynamic and always changing.

What worked yesterday, might not work today. What worked a few years, back, might be term outdated and ancient techniques today.

As such, ceasing the moment, and taking today, should be your first priority, if you ever plan on achieving that body you always desire.

#2. Stop Giving a fuck

After all I have been through in life. I can gladly say, I have stopped, Giving a fuck about everything in life.

I see something I want, I go for, it because to achieve anything in life, you need to become violent, as the kingdom of God suffers, violence, and only the violent, take it by force.

In fact, my motto now is this, “FUCK YOU, FUCK YOUR FEELING, I DON’T GIVE A FUCK.”

I adhere to this motto for good reason:

  1. Whatever you do in life, and whosoever you are, everything about you or your history will be forgotten, except you, leave a mark in history.
    So why give a fuck about mediocrity, and worry about what people say about you, or your fuck ups in life? Everything will be wiped out, by the sands of time.
  2. People have nothing to add to your life and are only there to pull you down. They might smile at you, but deep down, they wish for you to be below them.

Overthinking will make you overwhelmed. It won’t add anything tangible to your life.

#3. Visualize and Meditate

I remember back in the days when I was younger, my dream was to get a car.

The problem was that I didn’t have a single penny to my name, which was embarrassing, but as we all know, shit happens.

But I wasn’t defeated, I set out, to buy myself a car, and I was going to work my ass off, to make that dream a reality.

And so my grind started, of which most time, I couldn’t account for my wasted effort, and my morale was at an all-time low.

To get motivated to keep chasing my car dream, I started surfing car website, and watching car YouTube videos, wishing I could trade places, or have the said cars for myself.

I discovered that when I watched or saw these videos and pictures, I miraculously got a morale boost, that helped me keep on grinding, and hence was eventually able to achieve my dream of buying a car.

Now, that I think about it, without those, videos and images, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my dreams.

In the same vein, as you strife to achieve your weight loss goals, you will reach a point that your morale, will be at an all time low.

At this point in time, your confidence in your dream, can be boosted, by surrounding yourself, with images of sculpted celebrities, or watching YouTube transformation videos.

#4. Once you climb Mount Everest, set your next destination to Mars.

Although not the norm, some people are high achievers and have become desanitized to success.

Due to the fact that they have achieved so much in life, they lose focus and become docile (unmotivated).

This can be likened to reaching the final level in a game you loved playing so much.

All of a sudden you lose interest in the game, and might even uninstall the game from your console or phone.

In the same vein, some people when trying to lose weight, become desensitise. Perharps, due to the fact that they were elite atheletes and have achieved and overperformed at the highest levels.

In this case, setting a new goal, will serve to restore you drive to lose more weight.

If you can lose 4 pounds in a week, try losing 5 pounds in a week. Just try and improve the stakes.

Hence, you restore your drive and motivation to lose more weight.

#5. It’s not about the goal but the journey

Think about every rich or successful person, what makes their lives interesting, is not necessarily, their level of success, but their journey to that level of success.

This journey through life, to the promised land, is what makes life interesting.

These are the moments that stick with you, and what you will always reflect on when you are alone.

As such, your present situation, shouldn’t be seen, as a prison sentence, but a journey, which will inspire others, should you succeed.

By looking at life like this, you see your weight loss journey from a new light. Because now, you are not just losing the weight just for yourself, but also for others before you struggling with weight.

#6. Make Money: Everything will fall into place

Money is power, and with it comes financial freedom.

Not having enough money to do what you want to do, at the right time, can be frustrating, and a deciding factor in sucking away your motivation.

In fact, so many overweight people today, are overweight, not because they want to be overweight, but because they lack the necessary funds, to purchase a life of fitness.

If you are in this category, then you have two options.

1. Limit your spending

I have met, people that always give excuses about why they cannot lose weight.

You ask them simple questions like, Why can’t you lose weight? and they give excuses.

Sitting back and reflecting on these people’s decisions, you wonder whether they don’t release the consequeces of their actions:

  1. A lifetime is finite, and your time is running out as you give excuses.
  2. Opportunity is rarely based on luck, you have to be a smart worker, for opportunity to locate you.

Listen life is a battlefield and not a bed of roses. You need to stand and fight for what you believe in, regardless of the odds against you.

Only then, can you be a victor, and look back at your life, and beat your chest proudly.

As such, no matter, your income (size of your wallet), you can still squeeze out and manage if only, you will your thought into exsistence.

Start spending your money on what matters, not on what is trending.

  1. You mustn’t buy that latest phone
  2. You mustn’t buy the latest clothing

Because at the end of the day, all these things are vain, and you will eventually lose interest in them 5-10 years from now.

What seems cool and hip today, will soon become outdated and ancient. So why kill yourself on vain things, which don’t profit you?

Instead of getting all these vain items, try investing your little cash on good foods, comfortable clothing and cheaper cars (like Toyota).

Because if you can master living frugally, eventually you will master losing weight, and achieving your dream body.

2. Solve a problem

A tried and tested way of making money is to solve problems of people, and this can be outlined in three simple steps:

  1. Identify a problem
  2. Create the solution for that problem
  3. Exchange that solution for cash.

This has always been the righteous path to make money.

Problems abound in life. From solving unhappiness of people, to whling away time, etc. Everybody has a problem that needs to be solved.

The genius of all this, is being able to identify, that problem (creating a market), then solving the problem, and selling it to the target market.

That beeing said, problem solvers are few in life. In fact, they are so rare that you can only find 1 problem solver in every 1 million persons on earth.

This is because the majority of people are consumers, who waste no time to spew the nonsense to the world.

They are so simple minded, that they don’t have the critical thinking faculty to once in a while sit down and reflect on their problems in life.

If you are of the later, then you shouldn’t worry, because there is a way you can become a problem solver.

You just need to master the basics of a computer algorithm called “Divide and Conquer“.

In lay man terms, this computer algorithm breaks down huge problems into smaller problems and comes up with a solution.

In other words, think about it like this, no matter the number you can think of an conjure up, in your twisted mind, at the end of the day, it may, just be made made up one or more of these 10 digits (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).

Transferring this analogy to problems in life, all big problems can also be broken down, into smaller problem digits.

This way, they become easier to manage and solve.

#7. Meal Prep (Meal Planning)

I have not seen anybody that values their bodies not meal prepping.

Essentially, it entails planning your weight loss meals in advance, so that you don’t bother, looking or thinking of what to eat or do.

You don’t necessarily need to prepare and store the food. You might as well, just draw out a meal plan to keep you focused.

When the time reaches, you know what to eat, at what time to eat it. This way, you will stay motivated and see through your weight loss journey.

#9. Set goals

Sometimes staying motivated can be as simple as setting weight loss goals.

I want to lose 10 pounds in a month, is a goal. You set that goal, and strife as much as possible to achieve that goal.

If you succeed in achieving that goal, your body is flooded with feel-good hormones (endorphins), and automatically causes you to set a new goal.

As such, your motivation for losing weight remains at an all time high.

#8. Photograph your progress

Taking photographs of your weight loss journey can help in keeping you motivated and on track to achieving your desired goal weight.

Now, although it is good to take pictures of your weight loss journey, taking too many phographs in rapid successions, can sabotage your motivation, simply because you might not see immediate results.

Afterall, too much of everything is bad.

As such, it is advisable to take progress pictures, after every three days, if you a just overweight, and weekly if you are obese.

Trust me, you will be shocked at your own improvements.

#10. Just do it (Love the grind).

Nobody wants to work. Everybody wants an easy life. Chilling at the beach, and wasting life in slothfulness and tranquility.

But then if you become everybody, you become common, and the greatest threat to you weight loss jorney is to become common.

Once you become use to tranquility, you find it hard to achieve anything in life.

You will be a dreamer, never an achiever, a motivator, never a creator, simply because you don’t have the balls, to get off your fat ass, and just fucking do it.

The only recipe for this is simple, you need to train your brain to start enjoying hard work.

It will be difficult at first, but when you become a master of hard work, you can move mountains of fats.
